Zac J. Macaulay

A London based underwater photographer shooting for 20 years for clients as diverse as Diesel, Boots the Chemist, the BBC and The Sunday Times. He trained under the expert tuition of Mike Portelly, and does a lot of work for advertising and design agencies. He won the gold medal at Image 2003-04 Festival of Underwater Film and Photography, and now shoots with a Canon EOS 1DS MK2 in a Seacam housing. His work always has a strong design base and feel and he is always striving for new ideas in the underwater medium. He is happily living in married sin and has two lovely children aged 2 and 4.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
I need a friendly helpful and resourceful diving operator with time to spare for your needs. A team that knows the site intimately with its currents tides and local wildlife and who are completely safe in their diving practices. Also an operator that understands the needs and demands of professional photography, who are helpful and considerate to the usually non diving client as much as the diving crew. Finally a sense of humour, vital.
