Gary Bell

Gary Bell is a professional nature and wildlife photographer specializing in marine related images, his work has appeared in numerous book publications and major journals around the world. Gary\'s photographic journey began in 1975 on the shores of Australia\'s Mornington Peninsula, where he learnt to dive. His photographic assignments over the years have taken him throughout most of the Pacific and include more than twenty assignments with National Geographic magazine and TV division, as well as assignments with Australian Geographic and Australia\'s CSIRO Division of Fisheries. In 2003, together with his wife, Meri, Gary launched Oceanwide Images photo agency, which represents the imagery of some of Australia\'s elite underwater photographers. When not underwater taking pictures, Gary is equally at home in the “bush” with a camera. He lives in Coffs Harbour on the east coast of Australia.

What I look for in a Dive Operator:
A dive operator who has outstanding knowledge of the marine life in their area, who is willing to meet my photographic requirements and who is friendly and experienced with a good safety record, will win me over every time. Of course if they have comfortable accommodation, good food, a constant supply of power and lots of fresh water for rinsing off, that would be nice!\"
