Catalina Perales-raya

Catalina is a professional uw-photographer, and also a marine biologist. Catalina has published articles and images in many magazines and books all over the world. Her vast experience includes research for several Research Institutions and European Universities. She specialized on cephalopods and got a PhD Degree in marine biology in 2001. In addition to her research experience, she is now a pro uw-photographer and co-owner of OCEAN-PHOTOS where she spreads awareness of marine life through her articles, courses, workshops and seminars for divers.

Professionalism, experience and good knowledge of the seabeds, animals and waters. That is probably a good summary of what I expect from a dive operator. As an uw-photographer I especially appreciate that dive masters give us enough freedom underwater for doing my work. Live aboard trips are my favourites because you get more time underwater and usually better diving places. A large and safe area for uw-photo gear is a priority whereas other services such us meals and room comfort and services, although interesting, are less important than diving services, especially when I am on a working trip.
