Fiji - Underwater Photography Workshop with Joe Tepper

We are pleased to announce a unique trip to the colorful and rich waters of Fiji on the luxurious Fiji Siren. Join DivePhotoGuide Editor and photojournalist Joseph Tepper for a wide-angle workshop in some of the most subject-rich and biodiverse waters in the world. We don't run a lot of workshops on our expeditions, so this is a very special trip, designed specifically to help you hone your photography skills and portfolio.
 

Joseph will be providing seminars on different types of underwater photography techniques and will provide each participant with the one-on-one time necessary to help you improve. This trip is designed for photographers of all levels. Whether you are just starting out or have years of experience and simply want to hone your skills, he will help you improve. The colorful reefs of Fiji will provide enough wide-angle reefscapes, fish life, and macro subjects for even the most discerning photographer.

Due to the nutrient rich currents, the soft corals proliferate here, and visibility is up to 150 feet! Additionally we can expect large schools of barracudas and jacks, and should also see sharks and mantas on several dives. Although there can be decent currents, these are the perfect conditions for wide-angle photography.
 

Specific topics for the workshop will be chosen based on the group's desires, but possible topics include:

• Basic wide-angle photography
• Strobe positioning
• Capturing sun balls
• Creating motion in your images
• Getting great blue water
• Close focus wide-angle
• Basic macro photography
• Using additional wet lenses for super macro
• Snoots
• Digital workflow
• Post production in Lightroom
• Post production tips and tricks in Adobe Photoshop

Joseph will be providing advice and assistance in and out of the water, both one and one and in groups. This is simply the best way to improve your underwater photography!

The expedition will chart the most colorful and prolific sites in central Fiji aboard the luxurious Fiji Siren. Part of the Worldwide Dive and Sail fleet of liveaboards, the Fiji Siren combines great service, knowledge of the area, and the highest form of luxury.
