Cat Island, Bahamas: May 2014

Cat Island is one of the most beautiful islands in the Bahamas, with isolated beaches and a population of only 1,700.  The beautiful 83 degree clear blue water offers many great diving experiences, including a unique dive with one of the ocean's most majestic creatures - the Oceanic Whitetip shark.

Epic Diving is an operation based in Cat Island and has been working closely with the Oceanic Whitetips. Their extensive experience ensures the best possible chance of bringing us close to the sharks so that it's safe for both us and the animals and providing a rare opportunity to photograph this ocean wanderer.

There can be up to 10 sharks in the water at one time in the beautiful blue water, and Cat Island has quickly become the go-to place to capture images of the secretive animal.
