For Photographer of the Week, Vania Kam, an appreciation for the underwater world came at an early age. Having started diving when she was only 14, you could say that she caught the diving bug at a very formidable age. But as many of us underwater photography enthusiasts can relate to, when you combine a love for the ocean with a passion for photography, your future vacations and extra funds are perhaps sealed to the fate of being watery and dry.
Yet often when shooters start out young, they develop a mature shooting style and appreciation that others perhaps will never develop. Being both a macro and wide-angle shooter, Vania demonstrates a diverse ability and eye that makes for a dynamic, colorful and bold portfolio. And given she is still young, I have no doubt that we will continue to see tales from her adventures for many years to come.
