When you look at Photographer of the Week Natalie Bondarenko’s images, you might notice how deliciously enticing they are. Perhaps this is caused by the delightful speckling of color within the frame or maybe it’s due to Natalie’s deliberate use of light, but whatever the formula, the result is a very visually pleasing sensory experience.
Yet far from being simple eye candy, the images have tender qualities that make them almost humanly relatable. From a soft nudge by a mother manatee to her child to gobies sharing a hole, to even a shrimp cleaning the eye of an octopus, Natalie’s images reveal a nature of interaction, affection and survival.
