South Florida has no shortage of underwater photographers, and this week we bring you a South Florida photographer by way of Ontario, Canada, Jordan Harrison. Jordan is a shark and big animal fan through and through as you’ll see from his portfolio below.

Growing up in Ontario, sharks aren’t so easily accessible, so Jordan’s only real exposure to sharks, and the ocean in general, was watching Shark Week each summer. His passion was great enough that he went to school for marine and freshwater biology, and after school he moved to Florida and finally had a chance to explore the sharks and the reefs firsthand. As many underwater photographers can relate to, Jordan instantly fell in love with shark diving, and he wanted to show his friends and family the amazing interactions he was having with those awesome predators.

Jordan says that as his abilities and skills have progressed, his main goal has become sharing his work with the world and hopefully passing along his passion for the oceans to others. Working full time in a dive shop in Florida, diving regularly, and participating in art shows around South Florida, he is in a great position to do just that.
