That’s the philosophy behind a river snorkeling program that has drawn thousands of curious kids to discover what lives in some of North America’s richest fresh water ecosystems. Freshwater underwater filmmakers David Herasimtschuk and Jeremy Monroe’s “A Deeper Creek – The Watchable Waters of Appalachia” brings viewers on a virtual dive into the rivers of the southeast U.S., where you’ll come face to face with turtles, colorful freshwater fish, and even a salamander or two.
