This is our 52nd Underwater Photographer of the Week—which means we’ve hit a full year. To celebrate 12 months of amazing weekly underwater photographers, we wanted to feature someone special, and who better than DPG’s founder Jason Heller?

Not only is Jason the man who started DPG almost a decade ago now, he is also one of the finest underwater photographers around. Those that know him know he is a man of many interests, and that shines through in his portfolio, which features beautiful reef scenics, skateboarders underwater, models in surreal environments, and many other commercial, travel, lifestyle and underwater subjects.
So for our one-year anniversary of the Underwater Photographer of the Week series, we present some of Jason’s best images, covering a diverse number of subjects—but always featuring his signature style. And, by the way, thanks Jason, for creating a platform that allowed us to feature the awesome work of the 51—and counting—other photographers.
