Born and bred In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ipah Uid Lynn is a passionate underwater photographer whose journey has been shaped by curiosity, patience, and a deep love for the ocean. Over the past 15 years, she has quietly honed her craft, beginning with macro photography and gradually venturing into the expansive realm of wide-angle and creative photography. She says each dive offers her a chance to connect with the underwater world, and it is this connection that she strives to share through her images.

Ipah balances her family life with her work, grateful for her family's support that allows her to pursue her passion. She finds joy in being a PADI instructor, where she can share her knowledge of the ocean with others. Ipah's work has been recognized internationally, receiving awards such as the 2024 Blancpain Ocean Commitment Award and acknowledgment from the Blancpain Female Fifty Fathoms Awards and her photography has also garnered ambassadorships with Canon, Marelux and Bigblue Divelights. However, she views these accolades not as personal achievements, but as milestones in her greater mission: to inspire a deeper appreciation for the ocean and its delicate ecosystems.

Through her publications and workshops, Ipah remains committed to sharing the beauty of the underwater world with others. Her hope is that her work encourages a new generation of photographers and divers to explore and protect the ocean, contributing in their own ways to its conservation.
