Being an editor isn’t always fun. Take for example our incumbent Photographer of the Week, Felipe Barrio. The Spanish underwater shooter has a portfolio of more than 185,000 images taken in the waters of 60-plus countries. But it’s not just the quantity; the quality of the images leads us to call Felipe’s portfolio one of the most complete we’ve ever seen.

And so we come to the not-so-fun task of whittling down all of those fantastic images to just a dozen or so to whet your appetite. Call it an appetizer—one that’s just a sampling of Felipe’s images that have appeared in virtually any magazine you can think of and placed in the most prestigious contests.
