Adriano Morettin’s affinity for the ocean predates any specific memory. As the brine from the shore lodges itself in any nook and cranny of a seaside village, so too did Adriano’s upbringing in the seafaring town of Trieste, Italy cement his interest in the ocean from birth.
But his unconscious attraction to all things marine only turned into a healthy obsession when he first picked up an underwater camera more than 20 years ago. Since then, the mixing of his maritime roots and dedication to mastering his craft have earned Adriano prestigious awards at contests such as the World Festival of Underwater Photography and Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Whether photographing his native Mediterranean shores or distant destinations like Indonesia, Adriano’s ability to capture the bright and bold beauty of the ocean remains consistent.
