Our good friend Mauricio Handler sent us some updates while on assignment with Brian Skerry. You can follow the journey of these two great underwater photographers on the National Geographic assignment blog as they spend the month on Hokkaido Penninsula, Japan diving under the icy waters of this life rich environment.

Brian Skerry & Mauricio Handler are both featured in our PRO galleries. Brian has been working his butt off the last few years on several outstanding stories for National Geographic. Last April his images told a comprehensive story about the "state of the world's fisheries". It was amazing work, a great story, and absolutely necessary to help get the word out to the general public about what was happening underwater. We look forward to seeing the story from Hokkaido Japan hit the pages of Nat Geo later this year!
