As part of the Vodan festival there was also a children artistic contest »Sea, water, life, ecology« for elementary school children in two age categories and separate category for children with special needs. More than 330 children contributed their art pieces, which were assessed by a jury from professors from Nova Gorica College of visual arts.
The results will be announced on October 25th in Nova Gorica in the Municipality hall. Like every year, the plaques for the best three in each category are an original piece of art. This year's author is Slovene sculptor Damijan Komel.
The prize for open categories Grand prix was contributed by SMY ONDINA, while for compact camera categories the partner is SEACAM.
