Nature’s Best Photography Awards has announced the winners of its 2024 competition. The grand prize went to Mangesh Desai from India for his wonderful shot of a mother Bengal tiger teaching her son how to fight, which was captured in the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve in the photographer’s home country of India.

There were also lots of awarded and “highly honored” underwater images in the 13 categories, notably the winner of the “Polar Passion” category, a stunningly crisp shot of beluga whales in Canada’s Hudson Bay by American photographer Brett Freliche; and the winner of the “Ocean Views” category, a mind-blowing shot of a spinner dolphin superpod by French photographer Cécile Gabillon.
