Recent drone footage has captured a shark feeding frenzy in Fingal Bay, Port Stephens, two-and-a-half hours’ drive north of Sydney, Australia. The video, shot over the Easter weekend and posted by Damian Hurley, shows running mullet being chased by gray nurse sharks close to the shore as crowds watch from the beach.
Patrols estimate the gray nurse sharks measure between 5.9 and 7.2 feet. Some visitors on the beach are photographing the sharks feeding on the mullet as they jump out of the water. The bay is closed to swimming until further notice.
