By Ian Bongso-Seldrup, November 11, 2018 @ 09:00 PM (EST)

Walindi Plantation Resort, which is the home port to the boutique liveaboard MV FeBrina, is launching a new liveaboard called the MV Oceania. Operating out of the resort, the boat will bring up to 16 guests on diving trips around the Papua New Guinea region, including the famed Kimbe Bay.

The 88-foot catamaran, which is currently undergoing refurbishment, has eight cabins and includes a camera table to cater to the needs of underwater photographers. The vessel is scheduled to begin operations in January next year.

See the press release below for more details.

PRESS RELEASE

Introducing MV Oceania
A new liveaboard operating out of Walindi Plantation Resort, alongside MV FeBrina in the Bismarck Sea

Walindi Plantation Resort and MV FeBrina are excited to announce the arrival of MV Oceania. A 27-meter catamaran accommodating up to 16 guests, Oceania will begin operation out of Walindi Plantation Resort in January 2019 with itineraries including Kimbe Bay, Witu Islands, and Fathers Reefs.

MV Oceania is currently undergoing a refurbishment of cabins and guest areas before she launches. Her focus will be on scuba diving charters within the Bismarck Sea initially; however, she is likely to explore some other areas within Papua New Guinean waters into 2020, including specialist charters such as leisure and birding focused trips.
