Video of the Week: “Life of a Wave Photographer”
By Joseph Tepper, February 3, 2013 @ 02:34 PM (EST)
If you think all underwater photography is equally intense, you might want to live the life of a wave photographer.
Well now you can. Wave break photogs CJ Kale and Nick Selway filmed a behind the scenes view of their daring world in a video titled “The Life of a Wave Photographer.”
In it you see what exactly goes into making those seemingly serene shots of wave curls framing a sunrise. Kale and Selway battle the break with just their armored camera housings and bodies to get the shot—at some points seemingly running head first into 10-foot-tall waves.
Consider the video a preview of things to come—DPG will feature CJ and Nick in an upcoming article, quite soon.
