Over the past few months, the Peruvian coastline has been the site of an unsettling amount of pelican and dolphin deaths.
The Peruvian government credits the thousands of pelican deaths with warmer ocean temperatures, which they suggest has led to a redistribution of fish that is causing mass pelican starvation.
The cause of the dolphins’ deaths is yet to be determined as authorities await the results of lab tests.
