Video: ROV Captures Footage of Sperm Whale

Scientists operating an ROV in the Gulf of Mexico got quite a surprise when the vehicle stumbled across a curious sperm whale.
Exploring the effects of natural gas at extreme depths, the ROV became a play toy for a giant sperm whale at a bone-crushing depth of nearly 2,000 feet. The Nautilus Expedition happened to be broadcasting live at the moment of the whale’s arrival, and the reaction from the crew is rather priceless.
