A video of a rescued baby sea otter posted by the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago has since gone viral, charming the masses with adorable swimming and squealing. In the video, the baby sea otter, Pup 681, is learning how to float and meeting her new caretakers at the Aquarium.
Pup 681 was rescued in California in late September and was in intensive care at Monterey Bay Aquarium for four weeks before being sent to Shedd. Sea otters are considered a threatened species by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service with only about 3,000 animals still left in the wild.
