You know when an underwater video is truly stunning? When it makes you want to pack your bags and run off to a distant destination.

That’s exactly how I felt when I first saw “Baja,” a film that explores the best of marine life in this unique habitat. It was filmed by Erick Higuera, a Divemaster and resident photographer aboard the Solmar V liveaboard. From dolphins, to great whites, to whale sharks, sea lions, eagle rays, manta rays and much more, you see Baja like never before.

I’m not the only one impressed by the film—it just nabbed top prize at the Beneath the Sea Imaging competition.
