This quote from author Arthur C. Clark is well-known in diving circles and with good reason, as the Earth is really just 30 percent land to nearly 70 percent water.

But how can we really imagine just how big this planet of water really is? A new TED Ed video explores the true size of the Earth’s ocean in a visual manner—through engaging narration and clever animation.
