The underwater imaging world has a full-blown bout of GoPro Madness.

This compact, powerful camera has spawned off a series of accessories and housings, none more prevalent in the underwater community than Backscatter’s custom housing. 

We caught a peek at the latest upgrade to Backscatter’s housing at the Our World Underwater and Beneath the Sea trade shows. In addition to producing a housing that provides tack-sharp focus 1080 underwater footage, Backscatter has added in a custom filter mount to easily add-on/remove filters underwater.

The guys over at Backscatter threw together a sweet compilation of footage taken with their GoPro housing and magic filter—from stingray city, to the manatees of Crystal River and sailfish in Mexico. After watching it, we think you might catch a case of GoPro fever as well.
