A baby girl is the most recent addition to a bottlnose dolphin family at a Hawaiian resort last week, and video footage shows the birth of the baby and her first wobbly swim alongside her mother, Keo.
The mother dolphin was attended by her own mother, Pele, and her sister, Noelani. Additionally, human trainers were in the water to offer help and support. In the video, Keo often swims over to her human friends as if to get reassurance from them.
During the birth, Keo also swam over to the dock, allowing the trainers to check the heart-rate and perform ultrasounds of the baby.
Take a look at the video here.
