Underwater Imaging World at Photokina
By Jason Heller, August 16, 2008 @ 02:00 AM (EST)
Photokina, which will take place September 23 - 26, at the Cologne exhibition center in Germany, is the largest photography show in the world. All of the manufacturers, software companies, peripherals, gadgets and accessories will be exhibiting. A total of about 1,600 companies from roughly 50 countries are expected at Photokina.
We are proud to announce that this year underwater photography has established a larger presence at the show. Our friends at Fantasea Line will be there exhibiting their current and new products
(Hall 5.1 F30) , but will also be representing DivePhotoGuide, reporting daily from the show floor to help us cover the new products that we are all eagerly awaiting to hear about.
If you read our photo news section regularly, you will have already heard of the rumors of the successor to the popular Canon 5D, as well as the predicted release of the Canon 50D and Nikon D90. Will they emerge at Photokina? We'll know next month one way or another!
As the organizers point out "One of the reasons why Photokina is always worth a visit is that the fair brings new photography and imaging trends to life. This will also be the case in 2008, when visitors will be treated to the first-ever "Underwater Imaging World at Photokina". Covering more than 250 sq. meters, the experience-oriented event in Hall 5.1 will showcase the fascinating world of underwater photography."
If you plan on attending the show, please let us know by posting comments below, and be sure to stop by the Fantasea booth in the Underwater Imaging World area (Hall 5.1 F30) to say hello!
