There are many jobs that would be cool to try out for a week—aside from being an underwater photographer, of course. Well, Emmy Award-winning director of photography, underwater photographer, and tech diving instructor Becky Kagan Schott has a pretty cool gig the next week: curator of the Smithsonian Magazine Instagram.
From July 21-27, Becky will perform a temporary takeover of the Smithsonian Magazine Instagram page, which has nearly 100,000 followers. Becky has worked on assignment for the publication, which led to the idea of sharing her pick of extreme underwater photography pics for the week.
"I couldn't be more excited for this opportunity to share my underwater images with the Smithsonian Magazine's Instagram followers,” Becky tells DPG. “I plan on sharing the shots I'm most passionate about from hauntingly beautiful great lakes shipwrecks, to cave diving in Belize, sharks in Fiji and Antarctic icebergs."
Make sure to follow along on the Smithsonian Magazine Instagram page. Also, for awesome imagery all year long, you can find Becky’s work @Becky_Kagan_Schott.
