If, like us, you’ve been blown away by the jewel-like nudibranchs in the portfolio of DPG’s currrent Photographer of the Week Olivier Martinez, you might be wondering how on earth you capture these stunning little gems of nature in such glorious detail. If so, this is the perfect time to book your spot at the next The Underwater Club (TUC) event on October 18th (U.S. times): Club founder and Nauticam/Mares Ambassador Nicolas Remy will be joined by another talented nudi specialist, Steve Coutts Munoz.
In fact, Steve isn’t afraid to photograph all marine creatures great and small, but he has a particular appreciation for the little things in life and has amassed an impressive catalog of sea slug images captured from every possible angle and using every imaginable technique. The two-hour nudibranch-focused session with Steve will draw on this extensive experience, covering everything from photographic equipment and accessories to camera settings and lighting techniques. Sharing expert tips on locating nudibranchs and their food sources, Steve will also reveal his top nudibranch dive spots, from his home base in Australia to the best of Southeast Asia.
As always, TUC members join for free, while non-members will need to purchase tickets to the event at AU$49 (approx. US$35). Note that this is also the price of monthly membership, so this is the perfect opportunity to join the club and take advantage of all of the membership benefits.
Here are the event times:
- October 18th, 4pm Los Angeles time (PDT)
- October 18th, 6pm Dallas time (CDT)
- October 18th, 7pm Miami time (EDT)
- October 19th, 7am Singapore time (SGT)
