Momentum: Two Part Short Film on Being a Professional Surf Photographer
By Matt J. Weiss, July 23, 2012 @ 12:02 PM (EST)

Momentum, a web series by Red Bull, features extreme sports athletes in a short films. One of the most recent episodes highlights Zak Noyle, who is a professional surf photographer.

As underwater photographers, we tend to focus mostly on wildlife. When we think of extreme underwater photography, we think of sharks, crocs and other predators. But there is a whole other breed of underwater photographers - surf photographers that are not into fish, but rather massive waves and those that ride them. Certainly, this is just as extreme!

These episodes of Momentum not only focus on Noyle, but also on what it takes to get the shot in the surf.  Even if you never plan on taking your housing into the barrel of big wave, it's inspiring to watch and hear Noyle share his passion for the ocean - something all underwater photographers have in common.
