Turtle Bot Invented for Underwater Archeological Exploration

A uniquely agile underwater robot has been invented as a cheaper alternative to using human divers for underwater archeological explorations. The robot, named U-CAT, is small and has four independently-operated flippers that function much like a sea turtle.
U-CAT was created by ARROWS, an EU-funded project, which aims to develop underwater technology that allows for more cost efficient archeological exploration. Its four flippers allow the bot to move up, down, forward, and backward and an attached camera transmits images back to land.
