News
As you may know, two powerful cyclones are bearing down onto several island nations in Oceania.
The first, Tropical Cyclone Pam, is the strongest storm in the region in recent memory, rated as a Category 5 with sustained winds of 170 miles per hour. It is currently hitting the heart of Vanuatu, with fears raised of catastrophic damage.
A second less powerful storm, but still damaging, called Tropical Cyclone Nathan has moved off the Australian coast and is headed for the Solomon Islands. A third storm, Cyclone Bavi is threatening the Philippines and Guam region.
DPG would like to send our thoughts and wishes for a speedy recovery for all of those affected by the storms. We will share more of the news on the impact in Vanuatu when their communications are restored.
