This week, Subal announced that their new “all-in-one” video housing, the VS1, is now shipping.
The housing was first presented to the underwater video community at this year’s ADEX with the impressive claim that it can accommodate up to 80 percent of current camcorders (Sony, Panasonic, and Canon). The housing features a removable camera tray and seven programmable buttons that work in tandem with the camera’s infrared-remote control system.

The VS1 features a removable port system and accepts the line of Subal ports, which allows more versatility in shooting extreme wide-angle or macro without the addition of a wetlens. It has a standard depth rating to 250 ft (80m) with an optional upgrade of 400 ft (120m).
The housing is now available for purchase for around $3000 and more info on this universal video housing can be found on the official product page on Subal’s website.
