Source: Sony Alpha Rumors
Doing anything next Tuesday morning? Nothing that can’t wait, eh? Well, if you’re the type of person to get excited by the next Sony Alpha mirrorless camera, you might want to tune in to the Japanese company’s YouTube channel at 10am EST on January 26th.
As teasers go, Sony really aren’t revealing much beyond the tagline—“The one never seen”—and a dynamic background evoking things that go fast. Could this be the next full-frame sports/action camera, a step up from the a9 Mark II? With the Mark II packing a modest 24MP sensor, we can reasonably expect the Mark III to boast a more impressive resolution. Another possibility is an upgrade of the two-year-old a7 Mark III: more megapixels and a bump in video frame rate to 4K/60p, perhaps? One rumor going around is even suggesting that the mystery camera will shoot 8K from a 50MP sensor.
Guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.
