Sony Offering $25K for Alpha Female Program
By Joseph Tepper, October 10, 2018 @ 12:00 PM (EST)
Sony’s Alpha Female program is set to offer up $25,000 in grants and mentorship opportunities for talented female photographers. Five female filmmakers and photographers will be awarded six-month grants billed as a “creator-in-residence opportunity.”
While Sony is no longer seeking applications, they will announce the first round of winners within the next month. In addition to the grant funding, the photographers will have access to a combined $10,000 in product loans and product allowances.
We can only hope that (at least) one of the recipients will be an underwater or nature photographer! Learn more about this program in the short video below or on Sony’s website.
