The much rumored and hyped NEX-FS700 "4k ready" camcorder from Sony has been officially announced. At first the camera will only offer 1080p video at 60p, 50p, 60i and 14p frame rates) but will later offer an upgrade that will enable 4k video capture and RAW output.
The camera comes with 2 built in ND filters, a 2 and 4-stop, which can be used together, so that you can shoot wide open for low depths of field in bright lift.
Another feature sure to make underwater cinematographers happy? Slow-mo. The FS700 can capture footage 960 fps at a reduced resolution and at 240 fps at 1080p. Slow motion great whites, anyone?
