Sony's 4K "Consumer" Camera the FDR-AX1
Packing an 8.3MP EXMOR R CMOS sensor, the Sony FDR-AX1 can capture 4K video at 60 progressive frames per second with its 31.5-630mm 20x optical zoom lens. The camera is now available for pre-order for $4,499.00.
Similar in size and form to the HD camcorder the Z1, this is Sony's first offering, and one the first ever "consumer" level 4K (with the exception of the GoPro which only shoots at 15fps at full resolution) camcorders (ther are DLSRs that can shoot 4K).
