Siladen Resort & Spa has announced that renowned British underwater photographer, writer and marine biologist Dr. Richard Smith will be conducting an underwater photography workshop at the resort next year.
The workshop, which is scheduled to take place between June 23 and July 3, 2017, will include a number of presentations on the various topics in which Richard has become an expert over the years. They include:
- Critter hunting and photography
- Observing and photographing creature behaviors
- The private life of pygmy seahorses
- Muck diving and how to get great critter shots
The talks are designed to help divers gain a better appreciation for the marine life found in Siladen’s waters, in order to allow participants take their diving and their underwater photography to the next level. The aim is to improve attendees’ images by working on both photographic technique as well as how to interact more effectively with marine life. As such, both newbies and more established photographers will benefit from joining the workshop.
Richard’s work will be familiar to anyone who reads any of the large variety of publications to which Richard has contributed over the past decade, including a number of popular features on DPG, such as “Photographing Reef Fish,” “An Underwater Photographer's Guide to Wakatobi,” and “The Ultimate Guide to Photographing Pygmy Seahorses.”
