Siladen Resort & Spa has announced that world record holder and Italian freediving champion Gianluca Genoni will be conducting a freediving workshop at the resort next year. During the workshop, which will take place from March 18 to 25, 2017, Genoni will be offering freediving training to all resort guests who wish to join in—no prior experience in freediving or scuba diving necessary.
Genoni acquired his first world record in August 1996 by completing a 106 metre variable ballast dive, and has since collected 18 world records over a career spanning 20 years.
Over the course of the week, Genoni will cover topics such as breathing techniques, relaxation and the different freediving disciplines. All of the activities will have a strong emphasis on safety.
