Stuck at home with the kids and wishing they’d spend more time learning than playing video games? Sharks4Kids is offering a series of free educational webinars on our favorite finned friends.
Starting Monday, March 23 (and for several weeks), experts in various fields of shark research will give informative presentations. Speakers include leading scientists, videographers, divers, and conservationists.
“The goal of Sharks4Kids is to create a new generation of shark advocates through access to a dynamic range of educational materials,” reads the organization’s mission statement. “Our team brings together scientists, educators, conservationists and professional videographers to create a unique opportunity for the next generation to learn why sharks need kids and kids need sharks.”
You’ll need to download Zoom to participate in the webinar. Here’s this week’s upcoming lineup:
- Mon, Mar 23 at 9 am EST: Filming Shark Week with Duncan Brake
- Tue, Mar 24 at 4 pm EST: Shark Ultrasounds & Reproduction with Dr. James Sulikowski
- Wed, Mar 25 at 10 am EST: Intro to Sharks with Founder Jillian Morris
