Sharks are Attacking Google’s Undersea Fiber Optic Cables

A spokesperson from Google recently revealed that the company has been protecting its undersea fiber optic cables from shark bites using Kevlar-like materials. Sharks seem to show more interest in these newer cables than in the old coaxial copper wires.
Experts believe that it could be the electromagnetic field in fiber optic cables attracting sharks or it could just be normal curiosity.
