News
Sea&Sea has announced the DX-6G rugged sports camera and underwater housing, which is based around a repackaged Ricoh WG-50 compact. The camera itself is depth-rated to 46 feet (for up to two hours), while the housing increases the depth rating to 180 feet—and removes the time limit underwater.
The camera is built around a 16MP 1/2.3" CMOS sensor and a 28–140mm (equivalent) f/3.5–5.5 lens. There are dedicated underwater modes that adjust white balance and contrast. The camera can also capture Full HD video at 30fps.
The macro mode makes it possible to focus as close as 0.4 inches (1cm) from the subject, and the housing comes with a removable flash diffuser. The optional x0.6 wide-angle wet lens (WCL06), which features a bayonet mount, increases the angle of view to 94 degrees for capturing wide-angle scenes.
