Issue 3 of Scuba Diver OCEAN PLANET (SDOP) has just been released and will soon be available to subscribers and on magazine shelves in selected countries. SDOP is an evolution of Scuba Diver THROUGH THE LENS (SDTTL), and covers not just underwater photography but also dive travel and lifestyle.

The new issue is all about underwater film and television—the pioneering films that introduced audiences to the amazing world beneath the waves and the pioneers that created those works, including Hans and Lottie Hass, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, and Valerie Taylor. The issue includes an exclusive interview with one of the greats of natural history programing, David Attenborough, as well as fascinating insight from Shawn Heinrichs on the making of his film (and OWU Silver winner) “Tigress Shark.” This issue’s cover shot is by the talented William Tan.
