Samsung Announces AQ100 Waterproof Camera

Samsung has announced the AQ100 (WP10 outside of the U.S.) ultracompact waterproof camera that operates to a depth of 3 meters. The AQ100 is a 12MP camera with a 2.7" LCD scree and a 5x optical zoom lens. It can also shoot 720p HD video.
This is not a rugged camera like a lot of the other waterproof cameras but it does have a dedicated "Aqua mode" that is probably like the semi standard underwater mode. Since this a waterproof camera and not a rugged camera, would a 10 meter depth rating been too much to ask for?
