Rumors Of Canon 1D Mark IV
By Jason Heller, May 4, 2009 @ 01:00 AM (EST)
Apparently there are at least two sources that are predicting a Canon 1D Mark IV this fall. That would put Canon at a one year production cycle. Let's see if this rumor materializes.
This is a translation from the Spanish website DLSR Magazine.
"One confirms that Canon will provide shortly, to photographers of news agencies, /s modelo/s again professional units face to his testeo “beta”. The announcements could be for half-full of August."
CanonRumors.com also reported a couple of weeks back a similar prediction based on an alleged NDA signed by Reuters Canada with Canon.
While the details are non-existent and these are simply rumors at this point, the trend of releases every 12 - 18 months continues. I'm sure all the Canon pros are dying to spend another $8,000 - $10,000 on their next DSLR by now.
