RED 8K Weapon Vista Vision Camera

RED Digital Cinema has unveiled an update for their Weapon camera, which was announced just a few short months ago. At NAB they have on display the 8K version, the Weapon Vista Vision. In case you’re wondering what exactly that translates to, the camera will have a 8,192x4,320 35-megapixel sensor, which is capable of capturing 8K video up to 75fps.
The camera is expected to start shipping at the end of 2015, while the company is offering an upgrade from the current Weapon camera for $20,000. (The upgrade is half price during the NAB show.) For more information, check out our round-up of NAB gear.
