TOMS, the hugely popular brand that makes slip-on shoes, has dedicated itself to a new cause: sharks.
Teaming up with the University of Miami’s R.J. Dunlap Marine Conservation Program, TOMS has created a vegan, limited-edition shoe that features a madras pattern on the outside and a shark silhouette lining.
Proceeds from the shoes go toward protecting sharks and their environments and, as with all their shoes, for each pair bought, another pair is donated to a child in need.
TOMS founder, Blake Mycoskie, was inspired to create the “shark shoe” after a going on a shark research trip. He chose to team up with the R.J. Dunlap scientists because of their dedication to shark preservation as well as the cutting-edge research they conduct.
Find the shoe on the TOMS website for men and women.
