Pilot Wayne Davis has made a career by guiding commercial fishermen to schools of fish that he observes from the air. Taking photographs of these fish as well as whales, sharks, and other sea creatures has become his hobby.
Just recently, Davis helped cinematographers Tom Burns and Eric Savetsky locate a group of scalloped hammerhead sharks, allowing them to get close to these otherwise elusive creatures.
Over 40 years, Davis has captured whale sharks, humpback whales, rays, great white sharks, and basking sharks—all from a unique birds-eye perspective.
