We are very jealous of some of our readers—specifically those who are Canon preferred photographers and have had the chance to secretly test out the soon-to-be-announced EOS 5D Mark IV.

According to CanonRumors.com, “more than a few” of Canon’s closest pro image makers have had the opportunity to take this much-awaited DSLR for a spin prior to an announcement expected in August. Specs remain difficult to confirm, but CanonRumors says that internal 4K recording at 120fps at 1080p will be featured.

Questions remain whether the camera will record 4K at 60 frames per second, and whether the current software being tested will be in the final product. Stay tuned for more news on this.

Oh, and if you’re a lucky one to be testing out the 5D Mark IV, email our tips line.
