The ON1 Photo RAW application will be getting major updates in June, including fully integrating ON1 Resize AI, the company’s next-generation neural-network-powered image upscaling tool that was announced in March. Version 2022.5 also includes enhanced NoNoise AI, improved Sky Swap AI, better lens corrections, and support for the latest cameras, such as the Nikon Z9, the OM System OM-1, the Canon EOS R5 C, and the Panasonic GH6.
According to ON1, “Photo RAW gives photographers the ultimate image quality with the state-of-the-art raw engine, superior noise reduction with NoNoise AI, incredible filters and presets in Effects, automated portrait retouching tools, and now the best photo enlargement software, ON1 Resize AI, fully integrated.”
The app will be able to adjust and sync settings across multiple open photos, batch upscale, and export them to a single destination. The NoNoise AI tool will see “much improved” results with non-RAW photos (i.e., JPEG, TIFF), while Sky Swap AI promises to produce better masks, particularly when there are trees and when there is white in the sky. Lens corrections will also improve—by way of ON1’s new LensMatch tool, which automatically detects and removes distortion when shooting RAW.
Coming in June, Version 2022.5 will be a free update for all owners of ON1 Photo RAW 2022. The software is available with a perpetual license for $100 or on a subscription for $8/month or $90/year.
